In the midst of this pandemic, self-care is the most important thing that everybody should possess. It is the responsibility of each individual to take good care of oneself. In today’s crisis, we are mostly inclined to supporting and helping one another to cope each and every day to beat this predicament. Thus, it is important to take care of yourself first so as you could take care of others as well. 

In this blog, we are talking of ways on how to take care of ourselves. You may apply this in your daily lives. I believe it is a bit difficult to add activities in our lives that we are not used to do but, I also believe that bit by bit, we ca make it a habit.

CHEAP WAYS ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

1. Have a healthy lifestyle.

 When I say healthy lifestyle, it does not mean it is costly. Most of us think that living a healthy lifestyle means spending money on gym and buying healthy goods from known stores. I mean there is no wrong with all those spending for a healthy living if you can afford it. I just want to show in this blog that you can always live a healthy lifestyle even when you are at the comfort of your own home and not spending anything.

  The following are some cheap healthy tips:

·         Eat healthy foods fresh from your backyard

If you want to be healthy, you should slowly forget about instant goods and fast foods. You should start to love fruits and veggies if you want to keep yourself healthy. You can start gardening in your backyard so you can lessen the cost of becoming healthy.

·         Exercise by means of doing some chores

You do not need to go to gym or run around to do your workout. All you have to do is to help in the household chores. You can clean the house, wash your clothes, cook and many more. Imagine the sweat that will drop if you will exert some effort in your daily chores. Instead of lying there and playing your mobile phones, move a little bit. It will do you some work out.

·         Remember to always take at least 8 glasses of water and 8 hours of sleep

We all know that our body needs a lot of water in order to function well. We lose water every time we digest the food, sweat, urinate and have our bowel movement. Thus, we need to re-hydrate our system. To keep you healthy, you have to take water every time you wake up, every after meals, before and after taking a bath and before going to sleep.

 As much as you need a lot of water, you also need more time to sleep to function your body system well. If you want to keep your sanity, you need to rest. Imagine yourself without a sleep, do you think you can have a proper thought on any issues you handle? Sadly, you can’t. You’ll just end up into stress and worn-out.

 

·         Maintain a proper hygiene always

Maintaining a proper hygiene is one of the best ways to keep away from sickness. Especially in today's pandemic, you need to maintain your hygiene to not easily caught the virus.


2. Find and live your passion.

Have you ever wondered what your passion is? As of the moment, do you have anything that you really love or passionate to do? If you can determine one, then you are lucky. Not all people can determine what they really like to do. They keep on searching what they really want that they ended up into a failing career. If you are the type of person who knows in yourself that you are really inclined to a particular field, then choose and commit to that. Nothing is worth fulfilling than having a career of your own passion.

 However, in reality most of us lives in a career that can make ends meet. I won’t disagree to that because I am one too. What I am trying to say is that its good to determine your passion because that will be your stress reliever. We cannot deny that stress is everywhere. Thus, you need to have an avenue that you are comfortable with in expressing yourself. That is one way of how you should take care of your mental and emotional endeavor. 


3. Spend your time with healthy minded individual and avoid toxic people.

Another way of taking care of oneself is to choose the right kind of people you associate your life with. As we observe nowadays, a lot of toxic individuals are scattering everywhere. Even toxic relationships too. When I say toxic, these are the individuals or relationships that never add value to your current state, instead these will lessen your worth. They are those individuals who will drag you down and will lead you to bitterness. You should be smart enough to identify the types of people you encounter and associate to. Because by doing so, you will protect yourself from wrong companion and wrong mindset. As an adage goes, “Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are”.  It is better to avoid from the beginning than to regret the consequences in the end. 

Thus, we have to make sure that in every individual we meet, we choose those who have the positive perspective in life. With these kinds of people, nothing will go wrong with you. Instead, you will be ignited to improve yourself even better and pursue your dreams with passion. 


With all that being said, it is up to you if you will be incorporating these ways to your life. I am just hoping for a healthier society and that will never be happen if we will not start it with ourselves. Thus, I am ending this blog with a quote:
